Job Summary:
10+ years of overall IT experience with at least 5+ years in a dedicated Cloud Architect or Principal Cloud Engineer role
Deep, hands-on expertise with AWS architecture and services — EC2, VPC, EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB, EFS, API Gateway, CloudFront, Route53, IAM, KMS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail
Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale cloud migration projects (lift-and-shift, replatforming, and refactoring)
Expert-level Terraform skills — module design, state management, workspace management, and CI/CD integration
Strong expertise in Amazon EKS — cluster setup, IRSA, networking (VPC CNI), autoscaling, and security hardening
Solid understanding of AWS networking — VPC design, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, PrivateLink, and DNS (Route53)
Experience with DevSecOps practices — security scanning, policy-as-code (OPA/Sentinel), SAST/DAST integration in pipelines
Proficiency in scripting and automation — Python, Bash, or PowerShell for infrastructure automation tasks
Strong knowledge of cloud security, IAM, compliance frameworks, and data protection strategies
Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Lead end-to-end AWS cloud migration projects — from initial assessment and business case through planning, architecture design, execution, and post-migration optimization
Implement IaC, automation, and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform and DevOps tools.
Conduct cloud readiness assessments of on-premises and hybrid environments; define migration wave plans using 6R strategies (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, Repurchase, Retain, Retire)
Design and implement AWS Landing Zone and multi-account environments using AWS Control Tower, Organizations, and Service Catalog
Define and own cloud migration runbooks, cutover plans, rollback strategies, and go-live checklists
Identify dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies across complex application portfolios during migration
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering
