The Network Administrator is a technical member of the Network Services team supporting an international enterprise. The successful candidate will have a customer focused mind set while deploying and maintaining technology-based solutions to empower internal business customers to achieve company objectives. This individual can sit at any Collins Aerospace domestic location or remote.
Primary Responsibilities:
Interface with internal business units in project, break fix, and other scenarios to design, deploy, and maintain network solutions to business needs.
Represent the network team as a technical consultant in enterprise project efforts
Perform daily break fix management including internal customer escalation, root cause analysis, and documentation of recurring issues
Manage and maintain hardware assets including asset inventory, replacement under vendor support (RMA) as needed, and early issue detection with modern monitoring tools
Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve complex network and system issues throughout the Collins enterprise
Some after-hours support required including participating in a team, 24x7, on-call rotation
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
3 years of experience maintaining an enterprise network environment including WAN and LAN, with an emphasis on the Cisco suite of products
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with technical and non-technical audiences
Familiar with change management process and tools
Ability to problem solve in a high pace, fast-changing environment
Ability to travel as required to support network operations, 10%, domestic or globally
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
