As the Avionics business supports international customers, it is involved in the many aspects of import, export and global trade requirements under the governance of Raytheon Technologies, Collins Aerospace and country specific international trade regulations. The role of the Global Trade Sanctions Sr. Manager is critical to the business, ensuring that both regulatory compliance and company policies are being adhered to.

Summary of Role:

The Global Trade Sanctions Specialist is responsible for strategic management of the Avionics Sanctions Compliance Program. In addition, this role involves day-to-day oversight and resolution of sanctions issues and concerns having touchpoints to the Avionics businesses. Specific areas of responsibility include:

  • Sanctions Compliance Strategy:

Responsibility for documentation and implementation of the Avionics Sanctions Compliance Program globally. The program must align with Collins-level requirements and mitigate risks appropriately.

  • Screening Tools:

Responsibility to ensure that all Avionics customers and suppliers are subject to denied-party screening prior to engagement. In addition, all suppliers and customers should be screened dynamically or perpetually. Screening processes should be in place for screening employees, aircraft tail numbers (where applicable), visitors, and contractors for every Avionics site.

  • Screening Resolution:

Responsible for review of potential screening matches and resolve issues presented and, where warranted, arrange systemic blocks of denied parties or parties under heightened review.

  • Subject-Matter Expert:

Responsible to engage the Collins Aerospace Legal Department for due diligence reviews for and to coordinate communications to the business as necessary. Act as a Subject-Matter expert to the business and facilitate training and instruction on limitations and compliance requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder
  • Bachelors degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience OR In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required

Experience:

The following experience is preferred but not essential. Candidates who can demonstrate experience and transferrable skills will be considered:

  • Experience in a customs or international trade compliance related role
  • Experience in sanctions compliance and denied party screening
  • Experience in United States export regulations
  • Project or program management experience
  • Experience of interpreting and managing policies and procedures
  • Developing and implementing standard work
  • Experience in coordination of compliance activity

  • Works well under pressure and can prioritize workload.
