This position manages a team of intermediate or experienced professionals in Test and Validation, leads project efforts, integration and testing, applies specialist knowledge, and coordinates preparation of business plans.
Candidate for this role may work a hybrid (mixture of days onsite and/or remote) schedule from the Brea, CA facility.
Primary Responsibilities:
Measures, analyzes and calibrates equipment and processes to ensure quality
Ensures systems perform according to necessary specifications
Confirms operations according to necessary regulations to ensure production quality
Establishes validation standards and develops testing protocols
Prepares equipment for testing
Documents test results and maintains records for later analysis
Coordinates with other departments who will be affected by testing
Oversees and manages a team of professionals for a medium/large size engineering testing project
Establishes validation standards and develops testing protocols for all platforms/projects/systems
Reviews and submits documentation of testing/validation results and confirms operations according to necessary regulations to ensure production quality all platforms/projects/systems
Provides leadership to team members on all protocols for testing/validation
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR
In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident Green Card holder
Preferred Qualifications
Engineering experience for military or commercial aerospace equipment, systems or sub-systems
Knowledge, understanding and experience applying qualification and regulatory requirements in certification of commercial rotorcraft and/or aircraft.
Experience collaborating, both written and oral, with various technical and non-technical staff
Experience building and leading teams
Project management fundamentals including Earned Value (EV)
Demonstrated broad-based technical competency
Understanding of LEAN/Continuous Improvement
