Job Description:

  • Should have 7+years of relevant experience.
  • Should have hands on experience in New Relic Development Administration
  • Should be able to design and implement New Relic Architecture
  • Experience in alert handling, standard availability and performance report generation
  • Should be comfortable working for 2pm-11pm IST shift as well as rotational shifts (when needed)
  • Should have the ability to utilize New Relic APM (Application Performance Monitoring) features to identify performance bottlenecks in application code.
  • Should have the ability to analyze transaction traces and database queries to optimize application performance.
  • Should be able to leverage New Relic infrastructure monitoring to identify and resolve performance issues at the system level.
  • Should be able to collaborate with clients to understand their observability needs and develop strategies for implementing effective monitoring and observability solutions using New Relic.
  • Should have the ability to establish monitoring escalation procedures and documentation for troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Should be familiar with application deployment and maintenance, system upgrades & troubleshooting various application and indexing issues.
  • Experience in Striim & Snowflake is good to have.
  • Strong analytical & verbal as well as written communication skills.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Should be responsible for Monitoring and analyzing the infrastructure of New Relic
  • Design, implement and manage enterprise web infrastructure
  • Create/ migrate existing dashboards, reports, alerts on daily basis to provide productivity and service to business units
  • Creating automation of application with Devops tools configuration, deployment and production support on heterogeneous systems like UNIX / LINUX / Windows environment
  • Integrate New Relic with incident management tool OpsGenie for seamless incident response.
  • Configure and fine-tune New Relic agents, dashboards, and alerts to provide comprehensive visibility into application performance, infrastructure, and end-user experience.
  • Conduct performance analysis and troubleshooting using New Relic's diagnostic tools, identifying bottlenecks and areas of optimization.
  • Should be responsible for providing guidance and training to client teams on using New Relic effectively, including best practices for instrumentation, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and architects, to ensure successful implementation and integration of observability solutions.
  • Should be responsible for documenting the observability solution implementation process, configurations, and best practices.
  • Share knowledge and conduct training sessions to educate teams on utilizing New Relic effectively.
  • Must maintain an up-to-date knowledge base or wiki with troubleshooting guides and solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in observability and monitoring practices, particularly within the New Relic ecosystem, and share knowledge with the team and clients.

Education:

Any Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or equivalent)
